SOCIAL OUTREACH

“For I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you visited me, naked and you clothed me… ”

Matthew 25:35-36

Our mission is to serve as Jesus served.

We work both inside and outside the church to help others. As a committee, we seek out opportunities at nursing homes, schools, municipalities, and individuals to whom we can be of service. Working with a variety of organizations we also seek to serve the hungry, the homeless, at-risk youth, the sick, prisoners and all in need.

Social Ministry is more than charity – it is working together toward a common goal, advocating for justice, and serving as Jesus teaches us to do.

Some of the ongoing Social Ministry Activities:

  • Prayer Chain Ministry
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
  • Stephen Ministry
  • World Hunger Collection
  • Baby Bibles for Baptisms
  • Outreach to Older Members of the Congregation
  • Food'n'Friends
  • Foxboro Food Pantry Collection

We are all called to love and serve our neighbor. If serving on this ministry team, appeals to you, you are invited to join us at our meetings or if you need assistance or know of a person or organization that does, please contact the office and a member of the committee will get back to you.
